McDowell Mission Project

A mission of Trinity Church to our neighbors in West Virginia

Trinity United Methodist Church and Calvary United Methodist Church team up for a mission week in McDowell County, WV. While there, we lead Vacation Bible School and participate in home re-construction projects.

Mission to Rivne, Ukraine

On August 2, 2007, a team of eight missionaries from Trinity United Methodist Church left for Rivne, Ukraine. The goals of the mission team were to: participate in the worship and spiritual life of Rivne Independent Baptist Church and to lead a Kid's Camp with the children in the community surrounding the church.

HELP International Ministries, Inc.

Begun in 1986-1987 by two missionary families, initially served as an evangelistic endeavor geared toward strengthening rural churches to do evangelistict ministry. Over a four-year span, from 1987-1991, the mission’s center of attention shifted to focus on the mercy ministries, that is, work among the poor and outcast.

Shalom Ministry Serving peoples without a permanent address, unemployed, and underemployed. Shalom Ministry was created by the Martinsburg Berkeley County Coalition for the Homeless (MBCCH). MBCCH/Shalom Ministry and Trinity UMC's Mission & Social Ministries are working together to meet the needs of Berkeley County residents who are in need.

Local fundraising for Trinity United Methodist Church and the projects we support

We all use gasoline daily and we all go out to eat from time to time. Are you using the gift cards Andy Townsend has available for those purchases? It just takes a little bit of planning to get into the swing of using them. Perhaps you might buy your gasoline budget for the week on Sunday mornings……or are you doing a project at the house that might require a trip to Lowes or Home Depot? You have to plan your project, just plan your purchase too. Andy can get your cards for you and you can help your church with the purchases you would make anyway.
